Sometimes the best projects are the ones where I just do them because I like the person I’m doing it for and I know they can’t afford the standard rate. Rather than discounting the job and making them feel like they’re getting something cheaper than if they paid full price, I treat these as moments where I can give back the same way others gave to me and waive the fee altogether. The way other’s have helped me get to where I am at now.
One such project was my friend Bernard’s record label identity for Ron Ron Records. His direction was simple, he wanted a crown incorporated into the finished logo and he wanted some bold colors. I got into it fully committed. Initially starting with sketches and then once we found a direction we both agreed upon a full design and color palate.
Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Thanks again
